Climate Controls

Enjoy a comfortable stay with advanced climate control options designed to meet your needs in every season.

What You Need to Know

  • Temperature Range
    • For cooling, set air conditioning to 23–26°C where possible.
    • For heating, set reverse-cycle air conditioning to 18–21°C where possible.
    • Avoid extreme settings. Very low cooling settings or very high heating settings do not usually make the home comfortable faster and may reduce efficiency.
  • Close Doors (For A.C. and Heating)
    • Keep doors to rooms closed when using air conditioning or ducted heating to cool or heat specific areas efficiently.
  • Good Airflow (For Gas Fireplace)
    • When using the gas fireplace, ensure proper airflow by leaving nearby doors slightly open for ventilation.
  • Save Energy
    • Turn off air conditioners when leaving the house or during the night when possible.
    • Wear seasonally appropriate clothing (e.g., light clothing in summer, warm layers in winter) before adjusting temperatures.

Tips for Using Air Conditioners

Use Auto mode in Spring or Autumn when temperatures fluctuate throughout the day.
For hot Summer days, set the mode to Cool, fan speed to Auto, and the temperature to around 23–26°C.
On cold Winter evenings, use Heat mode and set the temperature to 18–21°C for a warm, even heat.
Use Dry mode after humid weather, like a Summer storm, to reduce moisture in the air.
Avoid extreme settings. Very low cooling settings or very high heating settings do not usually make the room comfortable faster and may reduce efficiency.

How to Use Voice Control

You can adjust the temperature or turn systems on and off using ‘Hey Siri’ commands through the HomePods located in the bedrooms, dining room or the Apple TV remotes in the lounge, dining, and study.

Examples:

  • “Hey Siri, turn on the A.C.”
  • “Hey Siri, it’s too cold!”
  • “Hey Siri, set the dining room to 24 degrees.”
  • “Hey Siri, adjust the study to 25 degrees.”

What About the Remotes?

If you’re not using voice commands, here’s how to use the remotes:
