Seamless Lighting Control

Hue Dimmer Switches

The Hue Dimmer Switches provide intuitive and user-friendly control over your room’s lighting, making it effortless to create the perfect atmosphere for any occasion. Each switch features four buttons, thoughtfully designed for simplicity and convenience.

The top button not only turns the lights on but also offers semi-automated functionality, adjusting the lighting to match a pre-set schedule based on the time of day. This allows you to enjoy the ideal lighting setting without needing to make manual adjustments.

The remaining buttons allow for easy dimming and cycling through the scenes, ensuring complete control at your fingertips.

Important Notes for Guests

Room-Specific Commands:
Siri understands individual room names (e.g., Bedroom, Lounge Room, Study, Kitchen). Commands like “Hey Siri, dim the lights” apply to the room where the device (HomePod) is based. If it is unsure, it will ask you.

Zone Commands:
For broader control, use zone names like “Common Areas” or “Inside”.

Privacy:
Voice control is optional. Guests can use wall switches, Hue dimmers and Apple TV remotes at any time. HomePods and Apple TV remotes are supplied for lighting, media and room controls only. Personal Requests are off by default. Any temporary smart-home access is removed after checkout.

Devices with Voice Control:

  • HomePod minis: Located in the bedrooms and lounge room.
  • Apple TV remotes: Available in the study, dining room, and lounge room.

How to Use LIFX Switches:

  • Single Press: Press the button assigned to the light or device you want to control.
  • Patience is Key: Allow the system a moment to respond. Smart lighting systems may take a brief moment to process your command.

Important Tips:

  • Press One Button at a Time: Pressing multiple buttons at once can disrupt the system.
  • Do Not Hold Down Any Button: Holding a button may trigger a factory reset, which will disconnect the switch and disrupt the lighting setup.

A single press is all it takes to enjoy hassle-free lighting. Let the smart system handle the rest for a smooth experience.

Outdoor Lighting Automation

At The Driscoll, outdoor lighting seamlessly blends style and functionality, creating a welcoming and secure environment for all guests.

Whether you’re enjoying a quiet evening on the porch or arriving back after dark, our thoughtfully designed lighting ensures both safety and ambiance.

Smart automations take care of the details — lights adjust automatically based on the time of night and pre-set schedules — so you can relax and focus on enjoying your surroundings, worry-free.

How It Works:

Themed Lighting: Outdoor lights turn on automatically at dusk with a vibrant Theme-of-the-Day, adding character to the property.
Philips Hue night light scene icon representing low level night lighting presetNightlight Mode: At 10:30 PM, the lights dim to a subtle, energy-efficient glow, staying on until sunrise.
outdoor motion sensor icon representing automated detection and lighting controlMotion Sensors: Smart sensors in the backyard and garage areas detect movement, triggering lights as needed for security and convenience.

Helpful Note:

The outdoor lights are fully automated through the night to reduce the reverse effect of one-way tinting, ensuring privacy while maintaining visibility.
These settings are pre-programmed — no manual adjustments are required.
Guests with theme or colour preferences are always welcome to let us know; we’ll do our best to accommodate.
Guests remain in control and these can be adjusted or turned off with Voice Controls or the LIFX Switches.
